The release of the Polish version of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
12 March marked the official release of Polish Functionality for MS Dynamics Business Central in the cloud. MS Dynamics 365 Business Central is a successor to Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Polish Functionality is a dedicated module of the ERP system, formerly known as Dynamics, which allows us to work in accordance with Polish legislation and tax rules. The Polish module is used in order to process tax settlements, create and process JPK files or import National Bank of Poland exchange rates.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a successor to Microsoft Dynamics NAV. After 13 years the 'NAV' part will be replaced by '365', as per other Microsoft products (Office 365 being one such example). It is not only the nomenclature that is changing. '365' is a sign that Microsoft continues to emphasize cloud-based solutions. Yet another revolutionary step is its new licensing model.
According to information provided during the official presentation, licenses will be now available in the CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) model. From now on, we will be able to lease licenses for a specified period of time (mostly one month). The number of licenses can be accordingly raised or lowered, if required. These will be licenses assigned to particular users.
Polish users of the system who would like to implement Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises are still awaiting the release of Polish Functionality, which has been scheduled for 2 April 2019.
